Information about SIBGRAPI'98

Information about the II Workshop on Cybernetic Vision

Introduction

The group is primarily aimed at catalysing research and teaching activities on the many aspects of natural and artificial vision through the collaboration of research groups acting on related areas at the IFSC-USP and other Brazilian and, eventually, international centres.

Research areas:

  1. Natural and artificial vision;
  2. Neuroscience;
  3. New techniques for computer vision and image processing;
  4. Concurrent computer architectures for vision and image processing;
  5. Neural networks;
  6. Computational and mathematical modelling and simulation of biological visual systems;
  7. Applications of biologically inspired computer vision techniques;
  8. Neurophysiological research;
  9. Development of equipment and instrumentation for neuroscience;
  10. Performance assessment of computer vision and image processing techniques.
  11. Researchers interested in collaborating with the Cybernetic Vision Group should send the following data:

name, position, e-mail coordinates and references to some of your latest representative publications in the area.

Some of the activities we intend to implement are listed below:
